Submission for Consultation Paper 2 Financing Aged Care

The Royal Commission released a publication requesting submissions for ‘Consultation Paper 2 – Financing Aged Care’. While the focus of the Royal Commission’s Consultation Paper is on financing, the objective of access and quality of services must be central to this discussion. Historically, our attention has been dominated by a need to deliver affordable care on a short term basis, with a heavy dependence on Government funding.

Our response to the Consultation Paper demonstrates that this approach is no longer feasible for our economy nor desirable to a consumer base that will demand much more.
