As a team, we have over 80 years’ combined experience in aged care and retirement living. Cam Ansell, the Managing Director has specialised in aged care for over 25 years and has led some of the most influential research and lobbying in Australia and New Zealand.

Meet the Team

Cam Ansell - Managing Director

Cam is a Chartered Accountant and Managing Director of Ansell Strategic Pty Ltd. He has worked in the aged care and retirement living industries for over 25 years and is a recognised thought leader in the sector.

Cam has undertaken comprehensive financial and operational reviews of retirement and aged care services in Australia, USA, Asia and New Zealand. Cam has lead major studies across Australia and New Zealand to advise Government and the industry on financial viability and sustainability. He has also personally managed aged care facilities and retirement villages.

Cam has provided performance benchmarking analysis for most aged care providers in Australasia and has a particular interest in new service developments and redevelopments. He is a well-recognised national and international speaker on the changing trends in seniors’ accommodation and care services and he has been responsible for international studies in this area.

Much of Cam’s recent work has explored the impact of Australasia’s ageing population and the strategies being employed to meet the changing expectations of consumers of aged care services. This research provides timely information for Australia and we move towards consumer-directed service delivery under a less regulated operating model.

Campbell Ansell Snr - Chairman

Campbell T Ansell is Chairman of Ansell Strategic Pty Ltd. A Fellow Chartered Accountant Campbell worked fourteen years at Arthur Anderson & Co before leaving to set up his own practice. In 1996 Campbell retired from the Practice to become a professional Company Director and is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Company Directors. In addition to his directorships, Campbell T Ansell was appointed by the Western Australian Government to act on a number of committees ranging from local governments to medical research.

Positions Campbell T Ansell has held are:

  • Chairman, Medical Health Research – Committee funding medical research in Western Australia
  • Chairman, Conservation Commission – Overseeing conservation in Western Australia
  • Chairman, Audit Committee – Lottery Commission in Western Australia
  • Chairman, Board of Commissioners – Split of Wanneroo and Joondalup Councils
Amber Cartwright - Manager - Advisory

Amber is a Chartered Accountant with previous experience in Public Accounting Practice and Commercial Project Accounting.

Amber has been responsible for the financial analysis and benchmarking of a number of aged care and community service providers across Australia.

She has also undertaken market feasibility analysis and financial modelling for potential residential aged care and retirement living developments.

Amber possesses experience in the review of operational effectiveness of organisations, appraisal of budgeting and financial reporting systems, systems documentation and process mapping.

Daniel Lee - Manager - Advisory

Daniel has undertaken a large number of strategic and organisation diagnostic reviews of aged care and retirement living organisations, working with both not-for-profit and for-profit providers, government, peak bodies and a number of service providers.

He has contributed to the development of financial benchmarking tools and uses this data in his efficiency analysis work with providers.

Daniel has also undertaken financial modelling for aged care providers and health service, and risk and assurance reviews.

Daniel is responsible for the management of market and competitor analysis, having undertaken a large number of reviews throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Judi Coombe - Manager - Operations

Judi has extensive experience in the aged care sector at both operational and senior management levels.

Judi is a Registered Nurse, having undertaken her initial training in New Zealand and having worked in various clinical roles in Australia and New Zealand.

In her most recent role as State Manager for Allity, Judi was responsible for the management of the organisation’s South Australian business.

As the General Manager of Residential Care with ECH Inc., Judi managed 11 homes in South Australia and the Northern Territory and was a fundamental member of the executive team. Judi was integral in the sale and transition of the ECH residential care assets to Allity in 2013.

Judi has been responsible for a number of new development and re-organisation projects. Judi has also been integral in the implementation of new organisational strategies and culture systems.

Sara Agostinelli - Senior Consultant

Sara has a background in marketing and communications and has specialised in market research.

She has undertaken a number of qualitative and quantitative market reviews, including geographic and demographic population analysis, as well as comprehensive research on existing and emerging competition for residential aged care facilities and retirement villages. Sara has performed market analysis for both not-for-profit and for-profit providers as well as private service providers.

Sara is responsible for mapping market analysis geographically to be inclusive of all areas of interest surrounding the location of a site. Her research experience allows her to tailor an analysis to best suit the clients’ needs.

Caroline Kiriga

Caroline is a registered nurse with previous experience in Clinical and Facility management.

In 2012, Caroline was appointed Care Services Manager at Charles Young Aged Care – ECH (now Allity Aged Care) leading the team to deliver individualised clinical care, implement and evaluate contemporary practices and ensure professional standards of care and quality were maintained.

Subsequent to her role at Allity Aged Care, Caroline was engaged as Policy Advisor for a Commonwealth Parliamentarian providing an opportunity to apply her extensive training and education in critical thinking and research, legislation, public policy and project management.

Caroline has been responsible for preparing providers for Accreditation, rectifying non-compliances and sanctions, developing and implementing person-centred care models and reviewing governance frameworks.
